The Theropod Story, Short Version:
Welcome to Theropod Aviary. The aviary was established by Royan Webb to study avian genetics. We did do a small amount of showing birds for fun. Her work has been referenced in writings by other breeders of African Lovebirds. She also had a key role in establishing the beautiful and unusual opaline mutation of Peach-faced Lovebirds. The aviary birds were all treated with love and kindness, given names and good lives.
With the research concluded, the aviary birds were allowed to live out their lives in comfort. We still have two long lived birds, both cockatoos, on site. If an aviary can consist of that few birds, we are still a functional aviary. Both birds are better thought of as family members than as pets.
