The weather was threatening but rain held off for our August walk at Harnischfeger Park. We did have to battle mosquitoes but had lots of bug spray handy. Our small group found a number of fun to see birds (full list below) and even added three species to the park's eBird list! These were Lesser Yellowlegs, Sedge Wren and Vesper Sparrow.
If you couldn't make this trip and haven't been to the park, it's worth making time to check out the park and its trails. Even when there's an event taking place in the park, the trails tend to be free of crowds and good places to bird.
