April Bird Walk - Glacial Drumlin Trail
Birds were everywhere around us for the April walk. Over 20 folks from youngsters to senior citizens arrived for walk on the trails heading out from the London Road parking lot. Weather was beautiful if just a bit chilly, but the tempertures were certainly better than on many days recently. Among the most exciting finds were a number of Yellow-headed Blackbirds, singing (if you can call it that) and what was surely a mated pair of Bald Eagles. We also had numerous waterfowl, swallows and Red-winged Blackbirds all over the marsh. A full list appears below (just for fun, we're going to throw a little Latin your way this time). Special thanks to Sue Markwardty for keeping the list of the species sighted!
If you couldn't be with us for this walk, we hope you will be able to join us for an upcoming field trip.
